Production Manager - £34K

Haverhill - Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm

Their innovative solutions are changing retail for the better, and you could be a part of it. The Production Manager is a key part of the business enabling the wheels of the cog to run smoothly. Working within BSI standards to the company accreditation. 

 The Production Manager's duties:

  • To manage the Assembly/Repair/Stores and Logistic teams to ensure the required quality and output targets are achieved.
  • Manage staff through regular communication, performance feedback, and the implementation of training/development activities in order to create a team-working environment.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing levels to be able to deliver against current and sales orders/work forecasts.
  • Ensure that logistics and storage processes are delivered at optimum cost.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out to comply with quality guidelines and process layouts.
  • Manage stock levels.
  • Ensure stock accuracy is maintained, including the use of cycle counts.
  • Manage the despatch process.
  • Manage the Goods-Inwards process.
  • Managing the non-conforming materials process and Fault Log.
  • Co-ordination of warranty returns with the Procurement Team.
  • Monitor daily repair requirements.
  • Co-ordinate twice-yearly stocktakes.
  • Manage relationships with logistics suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement Team.
  • Maintain holiday and sickness data for reporting employees.
  • Define reporting criteria for performance review and improvement plans to ensure continuous improvement is reviewed.
  • Ensure that all requirements under Health & Safety legislation are actively adhered to including the creation of Risk Assessments.
  • Any other reasonable request compatible with the job description as identified by the Operations Director.

The Production Manager also manages the Production team, incorporating appraisals, KPI's and training and development.

Skills & Experience:

  • Working in a manufacturing environment
  • Managing people 
  • Woking in an ISO environment (Desirable)
  • Team Player
  • Knowledge and experience in Health & Safety
  • MS Office
